As the hook link material is sticking straight up off of the bottom, it needs to be as unobtrusive as possible, and Zig Line was developed specifically for this purpose. It has a subtle green tint to help it blend in and is a low diameter for its breaking strain, whilst still offering enough strength and abrasion resistance to land anything that you hook, and also knotting very well. The 11lb version has a diameter of just 0.28mm, 0.25mm for the 9lb, and 0.22mm for 7lb breaking strain, with each being supplied on a 100m spool.
